Many different frog families call Australia home, but the best known is the ubiquitous green tree-frog which is found across the northern part of Australia. Green frogs are nocturnal; they usually rest during the day and go out hunting at night. During the Wet season a green frog can lay up to 2,000 eggs which will become tadpoles and then develop into frogs within six weeks.
The green frog is another native Australian who likes sharing space with humans and tends to return to its selected home, even if you disturb its shelter. These frogs like cool, damp places and love living in toilets which is the real reason why you’ll find signs across northern Australia asking you to please close the toilet seat. This keenness for closed toilet seats is not because all Australians are avid followers of the principles of Feng Shui; it’s just disconcerting when you flush a toilet in North Queensland to disturb anything up to 30 frogs from their refuge.
If you have chosen frog, now is a good time to wash away any negativity you have felt and take joy in a new cycle of rain and life. It’s time to cleanse on all levels, the physical, the intellectual, the emotional and the spiritual.
