Fish are symbols of strength, perseverance and courage, as well as calling abundance, prosperity, and harmony into your life. Fish can also mean that it is time to bring a companion into your home.

The Celts believed that salmon and trout were mystical creatures and that eating them would give wisdom, healing and the ability to prophesy. Salmon will return to their birthplace to mate, overcoming any difficulty, somersaulting up streams and even leaping waterfalls to reach their goal. Salmon encourages you to connect with your leaping, laughing inner child to recognise what makes your heart sing so you may achieve your goals.

The Chinese fish represents abundance, wealth and harmony and is a symbol of Kuan Yin, goddess of fertility and children. In Japanese myth, koi carp will leap waterfalls to be rewarded at the end of their journey by being turned into a dragon, the ultimate symbol for wisdom and courage.
