Look up to the skies and see ....

November 22 – December 21

The echidna rules the skies from November 22 to December 21 and is found sharing the same stars as the constellation of Lyra which is one of the original 48 constellations listed by Ptolemy in the 2nd century and remains one of the 88 modern constellations. Vega, its principal star, is one of the brightest in the sky.

The echidna personality is very independent. They rarely depend on others and think everything through carefully before making a major decision. However, they are not passive and often are those who initiate or generate action in others.

Echidnas have great respect for the rights of all people and look for goodness in humanity. They take a wide view of events, welcoming the different and strange. Despite this high minded attitude to the world, they may demand that others live to their high personal, moral and ethical standards. They can also be judgmental and are not likely to forgive or forget once they have found that you don’t live up to their ideals. They don’t enjoy quarrelling and don’t hug a resentment or brood on wrongs like an Emu can, but once you lose the trust of an Echnida it is very difficult to regain it.

Echnidas are very earthy people and understand the properties of plants and herbs easily. They may suffer from rheumatism in later life so the herb chervil may be useful.
